Artist: Khadja Nin

Khadja Nin is an afropop musician born in Burundi on June 27, 1959. Having studied music at an early age like most of her siblings, Khadja’s exceptional singing voice was evident. At the age of 7 she became one of the lead vocalists in the Bujumbura choir, also performing in the local cathedral. In 1985, having emigrated to Belgium, she got a contract with BMG which eventually led to the launch of her breakthrough, critically acclaimed album “Sambolera” , which featured popular songs such as “Wale Watu”. By blending African music rhythms and modern Afropop, Khadja Nin has today succeeded in creating her own unique brand of music. Read more on Wikipedia...
