Khaled Hadj Ibrahim, better known as Khaled, is a raï singer-songwriter born on 29 February 1960, in the Oran Province of Algeria. Khaled began recording in his early teens under the name Cheb Khaled (Arabic for "Young man Khaled") and has today become the most internationally renowned Algerian singer in the world. Khaled scored a big hit with his love song Aïcha, while his signature song, Didi, also became very popular around the world.
