Born Denis Kaggia on 19th January, DNA is a rapper from Kenya who burst into the African music scene in 2007 with the release of his hit single “Banjuka”. The hip hop song skyrocketed to the top of the charts and was a major club favorite across the region. In 2009, DNA, whose name stands for 'Dreams N Ambitions', turned to singing gospel music. Since then, he has collaborated with artists such as Kambua and Isaac Kahura, to create a hip-hop meets dancehall meets vernacular song "Mtoto wa Sonko", that’s popular amongst gospel music fans. DNA is currently working on his debut album.
