Hip Hop

Hip hop music is a genre of African American music that developed as part of the hip hop culture in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the Bronx, New York City. Hip hop is defined by key stylistic elements such as MCing/rapping and breaking/dancing. The term rap music is often used synonymously with the term hip hop music.
