Afro-fusion is a genre which blends traditional African rhythms with contemporary music to create a hybrid music style. Afro-fusion combines traditional African music with western styles, such as rock, pop, Euro styles and folk music. Because most music genres evolved out of other genres, it is often difficult to categorize Afro-fusion artists within non-fusion styles.
