Based in Nairobi,
Kenya, Zakah na Kah are a
hip hop duo comprising of MC Zakah and MC Kah. The two MCs are part of the larger kaya hip hop group Ukoo Flani Mau Mau, a collection of about 24 rappers from Kenya and Tanzania. Zakah is currently a member of the rap duo Wenyeji, which has contributed to several Ukoo Flani albums. MC Kah has been rapping since his teens and is a younger brother to Kama of Kalamashaka fame. In 2003, Zakah na Kah released the song “Dandora L.O.V.E” which was a hit in the international hip hop circuit, making Ukoo Flani a household name in the
African music scene.
