Born Hubert Nakitare on October 1, 1982 in Nairobi, Kenya, Nonini is a pioneer in the genge genre of Swahili hip hop. Nonini made his debut in the African music scene with his hit single “Hunipati”, which began his steady rise to national and regional popularity. In 2004, he went on to release his debut album which featured top musicians such as Nyota Ndogo. Nonini recently started up a new crew known as P-Unit, which comprises of himself and rappers Bonnie, Frasha and Gabu.
