Born Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel on 19 February 1963 in London, England, Seal is an adult contemporary, soul and
R&B musician of
Nigerian and Brazilian background. Seal began his career in music singing in local clubs and bars. He then joined Push, a British funk band, in the 80s and toured with them in Asia, where he thereafter joined a blues band in Thailand for some time. Seal’s big break came when he met a producer who produced his song "
Killer
", which became a huge hit in 1990. Famous for many other international hit songs, Seal is popularly known for his classic "
Kiss from a Rose
".
