Blu 3 is an all girl R&B group formed in April, 2004 in Uganda, after winning the TV show contest “Coca Cola Popstars”. The name Blu*3 is an acronym for “Three Beautiful / Black Ladies from Uganda”. After becoming the Coca Cola Popstars, the group went on to record their debut album in 2004, which spawned the hit title track “Hitaji”. The original members of the group were Jackie Chandiru, Lillian Mbabazi and Cinderella Sanyu, who was later replaced by Mya Baganda.
