Adult contemporary (AC) is a style of popular music that ranges broadly from lush Sixties vocal music to predominantly ballad-heavy music with varying degrees of rock influence. AC music features mainstream music with the exception of certain genres, and is popular amongst adult audiences ranging from 18-54 year-olds.
