Artist: MB Dog

Popularly known as MB Dog, Mbwana Mohamed is a bongo flava artist from Tanzania. MB Dog was born on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam in 1983, and like many other young people his interest in music was influenced by American R&B and hip hop music. Later African music influences came from his own home, with pioneers of the bongo flava sound such as Dola Soul, Mr II and Kwanza Unit inspiring his venture into the genre. In 2004, MB Dog released his debut single Latifa, which featured his hit single “Si Uliniambia” that earned him a wide fan base in East Africa and beyond.
